How to Make Bubble Tea Mooncake
1. Get a tea flavoured mooncake. I ate the tea flavoured one so I'll use the yam flavoured one. Let's call it Yam Bubble Milk Tea Mooncake.
2. Flip it upside down and cut out a piece from underneath. Keep that piece intact (do not eat it).
3. cut up some pearls and put them inside.
4. Cover the pearls with cut out piece of mooncake.
5. Flip it over. Yam Bubble Tea Mooncake.

KY Jelly
I don't have to follow the skating scene very closely to know. His grinds are on another level altogether. When creativity meets balls. And KY Jelly.

All Style Monsterz
Back to Suntec Dance 2010, we entered the backstage area to wait for our performance and there were a couple dancers just lazing around watching the competition.
It was only when one of the workers mentioned "they're Gamblerz", did I realize we were slacking beside nothing less than Break Dancing Royalty. One of the most technical break dancing crews out there, they're also the reigning world champions having won last year's Battle of the Year.

They would take the stage right after us, and bust it up with the local guys. While they showed us why Korea still has the world's best break dancers with some next level moves, I think our dancers held their own pretty well.
Shortly after I got this photo though, one of the Gamblerz broke his elbow and they had to call in the paramedics.
While they might be out of action for a while, you can still see how they became current world champions by ripping up Battle of the Year 2009. Here's hoping the dancer recovers fully and they defend their title well in this year's Battle of the Year!

On Performing
Today we were at Suntec Dance 2010's finals, performing a short segment while the judges tabulated results. While waiting for our turn, one of the contestants did a relatively contemporary piece (which we actually stopped practice to watch) to a Coldplay song which I really enjoyed.
After we did our show however, I met a friend working there and he was telling me how the contemporary dancer obviously doesn't stand a chance at winning simply because all of the judges seem to come from a more hiphop orientated background and would probably score hiphop pieces better. At that point I felt really sad for her being disadvantaged on the score cards.
Fast forward I'm taking the train home feeling sad while thinking about our conversation. I thought, the dancer herself probably knows about her disadvantage better then both of us. Then somehow, a more encouraging perspective dawned on me. You know, maybe she wasn't looking to win. Maybe she was just looking to express herself. Maybe she was just looking for people that would appreciate her work.
Maybe she just wanted to perform.

Don't really know where these cats are from but I've been listening to this song and nothing else for the last week.

Donuts With Christopher
Hot off a third place finish at the recent World Yoyo Contest, Christopher took some time off acting like an African to tell us how it all went down in Orlando, Florida.
I've always wanted to do interviews with people because I think that if the rest of the world is anything like me, they'd all have something interesting to say. I just have to dig it up with the right cues. This is essentially my first interview that will likely be published and I realized there are many issues I don't know how to handle. But I guess we all learn by doing. Actual interview coming soon!

What Happened to
Those times when you march up to somebody and say, "Do you want to be my friend?" "Yeah, I'll be your friend." Boom. You're friends.
