Feels kinda nice to flex my design ish after sooo long. But after like the 18th straight hour at the computer... COLIN BETTER PAY ME 4 MILLION KANGAROOS.

Quite a massive yoyo campaign coming up. NOTHING is working right now. We're fast entering "too much work, too little time" mode. What am I talking about we're already in it.

Singapore International Water Week

The Big Question is this: Is it Singapore? Or International? HonestlyI'm not sure myself. It's a simple job. Too simple really. Basically we use a scanner to scan the people's passes to track everyone's location in case H1N1 strikes we know who was in close proximity. Damn lucky the people were at least decently fun to work with.

Like any other convention there's way too many things to say/organise haha. I'll just post random thoughts, happenings and pictures.

It was quite something to just be there among so many men in suits (from every country that actually matters) knowing million dollar deals are going down. And the world class science community was on hand presenting their new ultra technical breakthroughs that make water safer, cleaner, better, cheaper, and more confusing. It's almost cliche but for once I felt that the scientists there really were working passionately for something genuinely good.

When we're resting in the ultra secret Ops Room in Suntec we play Bridge which is a pretty fun game. It's a lil bit like big 2 without pairs/flushes etc. But with secret alliances and trippy mind games. and when your cards are too crappy its auto reshuffle.

You can "bid" for an advantage which puts you in a handicap of another form to even out the game which gives the illusion of fairness. Alex says PASS.

Due to my natural inability at anything related to gambling, Jean was my unofficial Bridge Advisor. Bidding for Seven Spades is almost equivalent to suicide.

But it's ok Ken would rather commit suicide than lose the Bid. :p

When we're on Bridge we munch on Tiger Biscuits as first endorsed by the Bridge Master Shermaine (I think). 1/2 a Packet later I won 3 Rounds. Believe the Hype.

There are many people in the world who are just boring and are ok with being like that. leave them be. move on to the next person.

I can be whatever the fuck I want.

Despite looking emo most of the time, Daphne is fun to hang out with.

Camwhoring is well.. KINDA fun for A BIT when WITH FUN FRIENDS (more to come).
Young people are usually less boring.

There are people content with pretending they're too pretty to mix with everybody else. That's ok too. They're probably boring anyway. Move on to the next person.
Facebook in this day & age seems an absolute necessity. Like Tiger Biscuits.

I'd rather be in a room with a annoying/irritating asshole than a boring average. I think. (Fish is some other thing altogether)

Shermaine has her SCENESTER HIPSTER GROUPIE INDIE ROCK ish dialled. Still alot more fun than talking about Jonas Brothers.

My guess is it's her 32nd photo with the same exact angle and same exact smile+expression.

The lunch provided for us is actually a pretty cool looking BUFFET with rice & pasta & fish main courses, soup + bread, cakes, dessert, fruits, which actually tastes decent. On the last day we had SHUU-SHEE! :-x

When I'm old I want to have a damn super pimp walking stick, white frizzy hair, horn rimmed glasses and a damn nice grey suit and bright teal bow tie (Like one old delegate). Ftw.

From The Afpterparties I dont remember which night we ended up stranded under their hotel, broke, tired and without transport home midnight on a weekday. Stopped at 7-11 where Lihao got this after getting a try at the Gashapon (Capsule toy) when you spend above a certain amount. If i realised the Mr. Happy one was so cute I'd go for it too!!

We then basically walked around and laughed alot. Not cool for a 23 year old. But fun.

The Afterparties Pt. 2

Day after sending Taka we went to eat the $13 Porridge Buffet @ Quality Hotel (yes, that's what they called it). I found it weird cos I paid $13 to go there and eat mostly plain porridge + salted eggs + pickles cos everything else like minced pork & siew mai just isn't totally my thing. :-/

Halfway through Jan (the DJ) came by with his wife and sat at the table next to ours. This is us literally taking out like 1/3 the restaurant.

What's cool though is they have a shaved ice machine where you can do your own ice kachang. The younger dudes (and me) had fun basically making nothing edible. If you ever get to use one of those things, please remember to put your nuts and green wiggly jelly and red beans FIRST before putting on the shaved ice. Most of us were so amused by the machine we put on some ice than realised now our nuts and ingredients will be on top. Not cool.

Also, just so you can doesn't mean you should just overload on Atap Seeds (atapchee!) like I did. There's a reason the ice kachang you buy outside serves a certain proportion of each ingredient. Sean trying to imitate my pose when I do my (signature) overhead shots. After which I ate like 13 prawns. Just cos I can.

I was reliefing at Ping Yi Secondary School once, giving the Secondary 4 guys an official test. And when the faster few guys were done they were asking me if they could listen to their mp3. After a lil bit back and forth I asked what song they'd be listening to if I let them and they said something like Jonas Brothers.

After deeming them thrash, I said if they could find a song in that player that was in my mp3 collection, I'd let them listen to it.

A while back while organising a competition, I was designing a prize for the best performer. The graphic which came to represent the Special Performance Mention,

was of course inspired by the Greatest of all Time. Back to the stuffy Secondary School Classroom, after a few unsuccessful attempts, one of the brighter dudes realised the only performer that has transcended every generation of Popular Culture since himself is and will always be Michael Jackson.

Singapore Yoyo Championships: The Afterparties!

Like any other Yoyo Competition, it really is more about hanging out together than competing, because having 10 people in a hotel room for 2 is fun and competing well...... not so fun. This is us in Dimi's room after trolling all over Orchard looking for some new shoes and threads. And treating me to Esteler77's mixed fruit ice dessert concoction (cos that's the only thing nice there anyway).

Single A for days.
