To the back up plan to back up my back up plan.
Big Boi (formerly from Outkast) just dropped a real solid album. I really forgot when was the last time I thought a hiphop track as fun so it's nice to be reminded that amidst all the commercial bump and grindin beats, hiphop can still be fun~

Science Center is Cool
Because it's got a giant freaking T-Rex at it's entrance.
More dinosaurs inside! As a kid, I always thought dinosaurs were the most amazing things.
Well I'm still a kid and they are still awesome. If you don't agree, you are wrong. I really have no idea how long these guys are going to roam around the Science Center hallways but I sure hope they're a permanent fixture there because nothing really gets kids excited like dinosaurs.

Half an Hour to Breathe
Is why the wine is not in the glasses. I had a luxurious World Cup Final thanks to the magnificent cousin for inviting us over. I just felt that the (presumably) good cheese and wine are under appreciated on an uneducated taste bud such as mine. For the record though, although it did take a while to get used to the tastes and aromas, I did enjoy them immensely.
Anticlockwise from the top: Bree (good for starting) vs Blue Cheese (strong) vs Goat Cheese (good with cranberry raisins).

Get Hype! Super Street Fighter IV
It's about damn time.
This was the rap video that opened the Street Fighter IV Finals on the last day of EVO 2010, arguably the biggest fighting game tournament in the world. It was meant to get the crowd pumped before the finalists took to the stage and it sure made that happen.
I've never been a fan of video game raps, probably because most of them are either by gamers who can't rap, or rappers who can't game. Redrapper right here is serious on both fronts and it shows. Good balance of classic rap braggadocio and video game references (including a quote from the "so bad it's good" movie). Couple that with an intense delivery and sick beat, you got the Best Street Fighter Rap Ever.
Matter fact, Best Video Game Rap Ever.

泡泡茶 = 珍珠奶茶 = 珍奶
My Taiwanese friend just revealed that the term "Bubble Tea" or "泡泡茶" does not even exist in Taiwan, the birthplace of that sugary drink.
What we know as Bubble Tea, is known to them as "珍珠奶茶", or Pearl Milk Tea which is then shortened into "珍奶" or Pearl Milk in everyday speak.
Places that sell them are also not called "Bubble Tea Shops". They're simply called "饮料店" or Drinks Stalls.
This is because while we refer to everything sold in bubble tea shops as bubble tea, in Taiwan they're called "手调饮料" or hand made drinks.
Good job living in ignorance all this while guys :p

A Hamper Needs No Explanation
But I'm explaining it anyway.
When I was a kid we'd occasionally get hampers during the holiday periods. They always fascinated me, those pyramids of decadence topped with liquor and a ribbon.
Like trophies that celebrate my mother's good work, they are a symbol of her achievements. They are her provision of excess, excess to be shared with friends and family when we happily sit around the hamper and rip it open.
My mother doesn't know this but I tell people that I'd be content with myself if I can do half of what she has achieved. This hamper is my small provision of excess to friends and family. More importantly this hamper is me, tracing and chasing after my mother's giant footsteps.
Anyone'd like a Kit Kat?

Swing the City
Jerome G. Dermuth installs swings all over the city so Parisian hipsters can take a break from looking beautiful and have a little fun.
Two ropes and a wood plank. So simple, so charming.

Loop 900 First Impressions
Bumped into Alvis while doing my Digimon show @ Tampines Mall and he offered to let me try the much talked about Loop 900.
Now from the little that I got to mess with, I have to agree it does play like a Raider. I could do everything with my Raider Exes with this white on white baby. Loops well. Slightly too responsive on the around the worlds but that could just be his settings.
Alvis says the hole is just an Allen key hole. Not too sure about that one.
Will it take over the Raider as the preferred 2A yoyo? I can't say for sure but I'm confident it will at least carve out a pretty strong following in the competition circuits.
Will I buy a pair? Yes.
Thanks again Alvis for letting me have a go at it! Hope to see you compete soon!
