Just saying :)

Just Chillin'

Random (cute!) kid on train. Just add beer and nuts.

Lunches.

When Ion first opened its doors, I kept seeing a long queue, Singaporean style in front of this one restaurant. Now that things have quietened down, I had lunch there twice in a week!

Sashimi Ramen was nice! Stand out performance by the Ebi (Shrimp) Sashimi~

J ordered their Chicken Katsu Don which was normal really :/

For its price, Salmon Sashimi was on point, somewhere between good & great.

Dipping food in raw egg is fun. The Beef Hot Pot is awesomely sweet. ^^

Beef wrapped in Eryngii Mushrooms brought me to a whole other world of juicy goodness.

Thanks for the good food and great service! Watami is @ B3 Ion Orchard.

Chickity China the Chinese Chicken~

I remember before internet and mp3 (1998), I'd wait for this song on the radio, then huddle up to the speaker to try and figure out the crazy 2nd verse. That was at least 3 years before rap rock took off.

Comedy music is fun!

Gossip Girls

The Rumour Mill makes sure we never run out of things to bitch about.
Pris (left) speculates,
Pathma (right) confirms,
Sarah (centre) then tells the world who seems to be hanging out with who's brother's army friend's auntie's pet terrapin's crush more often then needed 0_0

Watch yo' back!

The Devil's Hoodie

Hoodie Day! Dug up mine from like 2002 and found out that it was forged from the Flames of Torment.
Don't mess.

Whee~

Bingo~

Also during the Megcorp dinner, we played Bingo where I won! Just the small prize, but this is actually the first time I've ever won something based on luck.

Still I wouldn't gamble.

Monday Morning

English Class was unbearable until Alicia whipped out a bar of Goldkenn's Jack Daniel's syrup filled chocolaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate!
I never really liked alcohol, and the very trendy liquor filled chocolate that so many young people are fascinated by. But this one was brilliant. The chocolate itself was much better then I thought and has just the right amount of sweetness to balance the heat and bitter from the syrup within. I ate 4 cubes >.<

Just for a while, Life looked and felt beautiful. Thanks Alicia!

True Story No.1 - Super Aqua Dragon

First time we performed at City Harvest, we went to the toilet 5 mins before showtime. I get into a cubicle, K-Boy and Darrell chillin' at the basins. Swarm of kids rush in.
K-Boy & Darrell pointing inside the cubicle: Eh there's a Super Yoyo Master inside! Super Yoyo Master inside!
Kids: REALLY~!? I want to see I want to see!!
They proceed climb the cubicle and peep underneath while I'm peeing :-(
Mr. Ong: What you really want to see is my Super Aqua Dragon.

To Joyce: You're Welcome.

Megcorp is the guys that hire Spinworkx to get us to do the yoyo shows. To thank us for all the hard work, they invited us to their company dinner yay! I was hungry and Hans was trying to get some shine on his fingernails.

Actually the first dish (top right) was the best.

Joyce is our manager. She wanted to sabo her big boss into getting a Pocky stick looped off her lips. 5 mins before showtime someone whispered to me "why not we sabo Joyce instead".

On Lamp Posts and Trees Pt.2

As we drew the scarlet curtains.
A part of me died, I'm certain.

10.15.2009

$1

Got me a 3 pack tissue, mini lecture on religion and a little surprise balloon green apple. Super Bargain.
I was very impressed by the extra effort the auntie in the wheelchair put in to make her customers just slightly happier :-) Then was wondering how she can poke both sides of the balloon in to create 2 dimples.

It's a Double Nippled Balloon! WHAT!

Waffle Tuesdays are On~!

After the very warped synchronised closing of almost all their branches, I am glad to have found that the Suntec City branch has reopened @ #02-084. Gelare also has one more branch @ the very confusing Orchard Central #04-23!
Get yo' fix now~!

Laugh in the Face of Death

Possibly the best comedy all year. Good mix of slapstick and clever, inside jokes. We can discuss the ending after you've watched it.

Think I'll go watch it again.

Shamisen Rock!

The Yoshida Brothers play a Japanese Traditional Instrument called the Shamisen (which really is kinda like a guitar). Super cool track is called Kodo (Inside the Sun Remix)!

Which I first heard on the now legendary fuse81 in Harajuku video.

Heart.

Calvin's Yoyo Box, with hand drawn Super Yoyo Insignia. Massive!

He's even got the 30 Basic Tricks printed and pasted on the inside! Keep Throwin!

Marvin vs. Gorillaz

With quite a few new mixes for the DJ Hero game, this one sounds too good to get out of my head.

Chris Sends Love~

Chris Makita sends a care package from Tokyo! Don't remember being this pleasantly surprised in a long time.

Black 44Clash tee for Hans and Purple-Pink for me! The accessories turned out to be a paper clip and mirror! Not sure why they chose to make those but still funky!

Thanks too much Chris!

Crazy @ Compass Point Sengkang

Spiderman Sleeping Mask - $2
Raider Ex - $38
Getting Darrell to play Peter Parker - Priceless~
To think that after 4 crazy shows we still had the energy to conspire to be nutheads.

I Love Nate Sutter~

Bring back that old school relevance and fun! Trick of the year - 3:03.

10.06.2009

I am 20kg~~!

Super good show at Annie's (from Street Fest!) Galilee Terian Church! As opposed to City Harvest's penchant to impress the world, this is a very humble, family, homely Church, a welcome change from the glitzy lights.
While everything is not as polished and grand and flashy, it is very real, very thoughtful, and full of character.

The Church kids performed this ultra funky thing called a Pianica before us. You kinda press a note and blow into it creating a sound! Quite impressive and seemed like a lot of fun!

Picture with the (very noble) volunteers there!

The food (which they generously unloaded on us) was all prepared by the Church members. Thoughtful, home-made mini-cake you can't ever get a caterer to imitate. Plain, simple, thoroughly lovable.

Tan Ee Na told me she was 20kg and proceeded to jump on me demanding me to carry her. I did! With her brother and friends~

They sent us all the way to the gate! So sweet! I think I will remember this one forever. Sob~

It's funny how I've performed for far louder and bigger crowds, but I still think this is one of the best ever. When I get to interact with the people more, I realise they're just like all of us, normal people leading everyday lives that get together every week and try to do something for the everyday, normal neighbourhood kids. There's something very romantic about that.
Thanks everyone there! It was an absolute pleasure!
:-)
